The Open Call for Catalysts Projects and
the Machine Learning (ML) Challenge has now closed.
Princess Margaret (PM) Data Science Program’s mission is to improve patient outcomes and optimize the delivery of value-based healthcare and cancer research. We are achieving this goal by building informatics resources, expertise and developing innovative data science methods.
The PM Data Science Program is looking to support two new Catalyst Projects, one focused on Pre-clinical (basic-research) projects and the other on Clinical (direct clinical application) projects. We are looking for Data Science projects that utilized rich oncology data for integrative computational analysis to extract patterns and associations that could be leveraged to better monitor and improve the quality of care for patients and open new avenues for research. Examples of past Catalyst Projects can be found on our Projects page. If you are interested in collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to advance your Data Science Project, please follow the application details at Stream 1 – Catalyst Projects.
In this call we are also looking for PIs to submit questions that can be answered with machine learning. The PM Data Science Program will be running a Machine Learning Challenge next year and we are looking for questions that will be a basis for this challenge. The PI will contribute the question and dataset, and PMDS will help to curate the data and run the challenge for ML teams to come up with the best performing model. More details on the challenge can be found at Stream 2 – Call for Questions and Data for ML Challenge.
